Driver’s Age
The minimum driver’s age is 25 years and maximum age is 75 Years Old.
No Young or Senior Driver surcharge applicable.
Driver’s License
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a full and valid driving license with no major endorsements with 1 years of experience Also, a valid ID card or passport would be required at time of pick up.
Domestic driving licenses issued in the US, Canada, Australia and European Union are accepted without an international driving license.
An International Driver’s License (IDL) or a certified translation is mandatory if the driver’s license is not in English/Roman alphabet. International driver license or the certified translation must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver.
Provisional driver’s licenses are not accepted.
The following documents are mandatory to present at the time of vehicle pick up: Personal ID card or passport and a valid driver’s license.
Insurance Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CDW is not included in the rental price and can be purchase upon arrival which will cost extra 25 USD per day.
CDW covers bodywork damage cost to Final Rentals Bahamas vehicle should a Renter collide with another car, or an uninsured motorist was to be involved in an accident with the renter. CDW is not insurance but merely a waiver between the Renter and Final Rentals to waive financial responsibility for any damages occurred during an accident in our rental vehicle, up to the amount of 500 USD. It is important to note that this policy is only meant to cover damage to the vehicle itself, not liability-related expenses. Our Collision Damage Waiver does not cover liability expenses such as damage to other vehicles, property or bodily injury. It also excludes accidents and incidents caused by risky behavior such as speeding, reckless or off-road driving, negligence and driving under the influence.
What is covered by Collision Damage Waiver?
CDW only covers damages to the exterior bodywork of the car in the event of a collision with another vehicle up to the value of the rental vehicle itself. What damage is not included in CDW coverage? Damage to: Glass (all windows and mirrors), Tires & wheels, Interior trim (seats, carpet, and all interior materials),Undercarriage/Suspension, Your belongings (anything left in the car, including the trunk or glove box), Lost key, Transmission.
Mandatory requirement to enact waiver after an accident has occurred. Presentation of a Notice of Intended Prosecution from The Royal Bahamas Police Force given on the scene of an accident stating and showing occurrence of an accident during the rental period in which CDW was purchased and paid for in full. This document must be presented/given to our office within 48 hours of a collision with another vehicle.
Theft Waiver (THW)
It is not included in your rental amount.
Third Party Liability (TPL)
It is included in your rental amount.
The vehicle rental includes Third Party Liability insurance, which provides coverage up to:
USD $150,000 for third-party bodily injury,
USD $2,500,000 (up to $125,000 per passenger) for third-party bodily injury, and
USD $30,000,000 (up to $500,000 per passenger) per event for third-party bodily injury.
Important Note
Third Party Liability covers the driver only if they are over the age of 25 and not at fault in the event of an accident.If the driver is found to be at fault, this insurance only covers damage to the other party’s vehicle. The renter will be fully responsible for the cost of repairs to the rental vehicle.
Additionally, Third Party Liability does not cover incidents where the other driver involved is unlicensed or uninsured, even if they are at fault. In such cases, the renter is still liable for the damages to the rental vehicle.
Customers Own Insurance
Customers may choose to use their own insurance; however, they are responsible for confirming with their provider whether coverage is valid in the Bahamas.
Please note that in the event of any damage, the customer will be required to pay for the repairs upon return of the vehicle. They may then file a claim with their own insurance company for reimbursement. We will provide all necessary documentation as proof of the damage to support the claim.
Please Note: 1. Police report is mandatory in case of an accident / damage or theft, without police report insurance is not valid. The customer must immediately inform the rental desk about the incident.
2. Renter must present the vehicle keys and documents to the rental company (Finalrentals) to qualify for coverage, otherwise the insurance will be invalidated and the renter will be liable for the full amount due to the loss of vehicle. In the event of any damage to the vehicle for theft reasons, the insurance does not cover the renter.
3. Any damage due to driver negligence or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any other controlled substances is not covered by insurance.
4. In case of theft of a vehicle's part (eg. tyre, radio, GPS) the full amount of the part will be charged.
5. Insurance doesn’t cover Windows and mirrors, wheels and tires, undercarriage, engine, the car’s interior, personal belongings, lost keys, extras such as GPS or child seats.
Fees
An extra amount of USD 30 per contract will apply for pickups and drop-off at the Airport.
Other fees:
1. A fee of USD 350 will apply if the vehicle keys are lost or stolen.
2. The renter is responsible for the cost of any toll, traffic fine, parking fines, other penalties, and loss of vehicle keys/documents etc. incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to them. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to the renter plus any administrative expenses.
3. A fee of USD 150 will apply in case of loss of vehicle documents.
4. Smoking in the rented vehicle is prohibited. A fee of USD 300 will apply if the renter smokes in the vehicle.
Early Returns/Unused Rental Days
No refunds—full or partial—will be issued for early returns, late collections, no-shows, cancellations made after the rental start date, or for the purchase of ancillary items. For prepaid bookings, no partial refund will be given if the vehicle is returned early. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time will incur a 50% deduction from the total amount.
Breakdown Assistance
Breakdown assistance is available free of charge. If breakdown assistance is required due to the customer's fault, an additional charge will apply depending on the situation.
Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be given prior to the commencement of the hire.
Fuel Policy
You have to return the vehicle with the same fuel amount as it was supplied to you at the time of pickup. In case of less fuel missing fuel will be charged in addition to a refueling fee on your return. Unused fuel is not refundable. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated. Supplier's fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at the rental counter.
A fee of USD 2000 will apply if the vehicle is refueled with the wrong fuel.

Cross border travel is not allowed.
One Way Drop Off Charges
One Way Drop off Charges depending on the location starting from 20 USD.
Ferry Travel
Taking the rented vehicle on the ferry is not allowed.
VAT
VAT is included in the rental price and in the additional services.
Payment Methods
Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards and Cash are accepted while paying at the rental desk.
Deposit
A refundable deposit of USD 100 will be held through Credit, Debit Cards and or Cash.
Delivery and Collection
Not Applicable, we don’t provide delivery or collection service.
Grace Period
For Late Pickups
2 Hour of grace period is provided, after that reservation will be assisted in case if vehicle is available or booking will be considered cancelled and no refund will be provided, in case if vehicle available booking will be assisted.
For Late Returns
1 Hour of grace period is allowed for late returns, after 1 hour 1 day charge will apply.
Out of Hours
Out of hours service is not available; only by appointment.
Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipment depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
